HISTORICAL BACKGROUND

Cielito Zamora High School has its humble beginning. It started from scratch. The school where it is now is a product of unique story of heroism and chivalry of men and women who had a deep passion for education. Their dedication, commitment, and sacrifices made the school a home for young people and old alike.

The school was established in 1986 with Mrs. Adoracion Ramirez as school head from 1986 – 1991. There were only three levels then: the first year, second year, and third year. It only had a total enrolment of 306 with eight teachers. The students were housed in a four-classroom building in the same campus where the elementary building was situated. It was constructed by Cielito Homes developer Mr. and Mrs. Zamora donated to Caloocan government.

In its second year of operation, the enrolment inched up by 20 percent with 10 teachers and with complete curriculum from first year to fourth year. The school occupied the elementary compound for five years. Mrs. Ramirez whose term lasted for five years was replaced by Mrs. Lucila De Guzman (1991-1994). It was in 1991 when the Carino building, 2-storey-6 classrooms, was built in front of Barangay 177. In the same year, the new head teacher Mrs. Clarita Martinez was assigned in the school. From then on, enrolment continued to swell and the 2,028 sq meter lot of the school was not enough to erect a new building to accommodate students that prompted Mrs. Martinez to look for another school site as an extension. Through the generosity of the Cristina Homes developer (Mr. Bongat), an open space with 6,059 sq meter, (just walking distance from the main campus) was donated to the school, paving the way for the construction of 6-classrooms, 2 storey building in the said area.

When the construction was completed in 1995, the third year and fourth year students moved to the new building.

During the stay of Mrs. Martinez (1992-1996), she introduced different academic reforms and initiated various physical developments that made the school recognized as a performing school offering quality education.

After four fruitful years, Mrs. Martinez was transferred to Pangarap High School and Mr. Juanito Victoria took over as school head from 1996-1999.  It was Mr. Victoria who named the main campus as Rizal Campus occupied by first and second year and the extension school as Bonifacio Campus, occupied by third and fourth year. He also made some progress in improving the facilities of the school. Among them are: the construction of comfort rooms, audio visual rooms and water deep well. After Mr. Victoria, Mrs. Antonina Tan became the school head of the school from 1999 – 2000.

The Division Office officially named the two campuses as CZamora HS Annex I and CZamora HS Annex II ( Annex of the mother school -  Camarin High School) when they assigned Dr. Milagros Austria as Officer-in-charge in Rizal Campus (CZamora I), 2001-2002 and Mrs. Librada C. Telen as Officer-in-charge of Bonifacio Campus (CZamora II). It was in 2001 when the two campuses offered complete curriculum (four year levels). Mrs. Violeta Sioson replaced Dr. Austria and served from 2002 – 2003. Mr Joel B. Salvador however became officer-in-charge of CZamora I from 2003 – 2006 while Mr. Tirso R. Dela Cruz was designated officer-in-charge in CZamora HS II  from 2005 – 2011.

Mr. Salvador was followed by Miss Rebecca B. de la Cruz who served from 2006 – 2012. It was during the time of Ms. Dela Cruz when the two-storey, four classrooms, Malapitan Building was built in CZamora I. On the other hand, Mr. Dela Cruz was able to work out the construction of two-storey, six classrooms, Recom building in CZamora II.

In 2011, CZamora High School I finally obtained its independence while CZamora HS II, though with more buildable space for additional building, remained an annex school of  Camarin High School because of land title problem.

Mr. Dela Cruz was transferred to MB Asistio High School Unit I in 2011. Year after, Ms. Dela Cruz was transferred to Llano High School. Then the principal of Camarin High School Dr. Juanito Victoria became concurrent principal of CZamora HS II while Mrs. Lilia Gundran became principal of CZamora High School –I  from 2012 – 2014.

In April 2014, the Division Superintendent Mrs. Rita M. Riddle, reassigned Mr. Tirso R. Dela Cruz, as principal of the two schools with the mission to merge them in preparation for the full implementation of K12 -Senior High School Program. Mr. Dela Cruz renamed the two schools as they were before – CZamora I as Rizal Campus for Senior High School and CZamora II as Bonifacio Campus for Junior High School.

Mr. Dela Cruz introduced the flagship program of the school “Lukso Cielito 2016” which objective is to pole vault the academic standing of the school, develop potential of the students to the fullest and improve basic services. He also designed a special program for the school dubbed as “Talino-Kakayahan-Malasakit” (TKM) program.

Due to the transition program, the Schools Division Office proclaimed Rizal campus as a stand-alone Senior high school, which is now popularly known as CIELITO ZAMORA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL and appointed Mr. Emmanel C. Aguilar on August 22, 2016 as the first Senior High school principal of the school with 18 teachers with only  and 1 administrative assistant. Under the leadership of Mr. Aguilar, he introduced the new program fitted for the senior high school dubbed as “Character, Commitment, and Culture of Excellence” and alongside with it is the creation of the new school hymn of entitled “Lipad Cielitians, Lipad” composed by Mr. Joe Louie A. Lavaro and interpreted by Mr. Eleazar T. Paniamogan, Mrs. Gina M. Alparan, and one of the students of HumSS, Nikka Lomangaya.

During the first year of implementation of the Senior High School program, CZSHS has a student population of 489, the largest among the nine pilot public senior high school implementers of Caloocan City and offered Humanities and Social Sciences (HumSS) strand under the academic track, Information and Communications Technology strand in which students have the option to specialize in Programming or Computer Systems Servicing; Home Economics in which students specialized in Cookery, Bread and Pastry Production, and Food and Beverage Services under the Technical-Vocational and Livehood Track.

In the year 2017, CZSHS is headed by its new principal Mrs. Priscila T. Catanauan and offers General Academic Strand along with the previous course offerings. Under her leadership, the improvement of school's facilities and physical features for the senior high school students have become her top priority  the school teaching force has grown to 27 and 2 administrative staff, and the student  population has gone up to 789 - still the largest public senior high school in Caloocan to date.

After a year, Mrs. Catanuan was transferred to Talipapa High School, ending her term with so much projects to be pursued by the new principal, Dr. Wilhelmina D. Tarnate in the opening of the school year 2018-2019. With the new principal, comes new ideas that will surely benefit the stakeholders of the school. The best is yet to come!

Dr. Wilhelmina D. Tarnate's awesome three-year term has ended leaving with finished projects, new school buildings, laboratories, awards and recognition, and programs the school has so blessed to have. In her term the school offers the STEM strand which boost enrollees to more than 800 in the opening year making the teaching force to thirty five (35). The school also bags awards and recognition in various international and national contests in Robotics, Campus Journalism, and Reading Program.  With the new principal, Dr. Alvin D. Angus in the school year 2021-2022, the school has yet to flourish with his new style of leadership.

Principal's Welcome

Welcome to CIELITO ZAMORA SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL!

On behalf of all the teachers and non-teaching personnel of Cielito Zamora Senior High School (CZSHS), I would like to thank you for visiting our portal which showcases the people and the Learning Resource Materials that we have. Our school is the first stand-alone or full transition Senior High School in the Division of Caloocan. We have a roster of competent teachers in HUMSS, STEM, GAS and TVL (Home Economics, Computer System Servicing, and Information and Communications Technology or ICT) strand.

Formerly known as Cielito Zamora High School Annex 1, the Cielito Zamora Senior High School is a fully-independent Senior High School in existence and in its operations. At present, it caters quality education to more than 800 students. Here in CZSHS, we believe that “EDUCATION IS LIFE”, therefore, we highly value the 3 C’s which are CHARACTER, COMMITMENT, and CULTURE of excellence. We prepare the students to be ready in facing the real world. Our students are molded well so that they can become productive citizens of the country who are “Maka-Diyos, Makatao, Makabayan, at Makakalikasan”. Believing that there are no insurmountable mountains, we always emphasize our battlecry which is “SOAR HIGH, CIELITO SENIOR HIGH!”

Cielito Senior High School has already paved its way toward success. We are cognizant that there would be challenges along the way, but we will continue. The teachers will be determined to shape the students’ minds and hearts. The administrators will not cease in empowering the people in the school. And the students will study assiduously geared by the strong motivation to reach success.

Above all, Cielito Zamora Senior High School, though a non-sectarian school, believes in the Divine Lord Almighty. With fervent hope, we pray that our school will be a strong instrument in spreading light, not only in the Division of Caloocan City, but in the country as well.

            THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
