The officers of Risk Reduction… gave the students of Cielito Zamora Senior High School a “Duck Cover and Hold orientation at the Catanauan Park in June.
Mr. Rodolfo Roque made the students be orientation of the escape areas in case of fire and earthquake, like Grade 11 students were expected to be in their exit area at the second floor down through the stairs.
The students were told to proceed to the evacuation after the bell . “ Maglakad ng mabilis at maingat, hindi parang namamasyal.” Mr. Roque said.
After 5 minutes, the students did the “Duck Cover and Hold” with the supervision of their teachers/ advisers together with Dr. Wilhelmina D. Tarnate, the principal of Cielito Zamora High School who told the teachers to accompany the students during the drill “Dapat mas mabilis pa sa three minutes.” She said.
After the drill, the principal requested Mr. Roque to repeat the drill to make it very clear to all so the second drill was done at 10:30 a.m . which made the errors being corrected.
